Paying To Watch Football Over The Internet!?

    <--100th post

SHOULD ENGLAND SUPPORTERS BE MADE TO PAY TO WATCH THE NATIONAL SIDE ON THE INTERNET?

Football has traditionally been watched in pubs, living rooms and of course Stadia all over Britain. But for the first time an international game is to be only available live over the internet. Football fans will have to pay for the privilege of watching the game. There will also be a limit on the number of watchers to 1 million. Could this be the future, forcing fans to pay for watching football over the internet as well as in the stands?

An actual source would be good, because I'm willing to bet about 20 bucks that you either have a terrible source, or you're taking it way out of context.

    Yeah, this is obviously stupid.

Actually I can kind of understand. Given the undoubtedly massive costs of streaming football for one million viewers and the licencing costs it's only reasonable a live-stream would cost you some money. Either that or annoying-ass commercial breaks every 15 minutes.

If you want to watch it live in high-quality, you're going to have to pay up. If you want to wait a day and catch some low-quality re-upload, it'll be entirely free.
    I do think it's a dick-move to make it internet-exclusive, though.

You pay for the cable company who gives you the game on telivision for 'free' don't you? The Internet is not only more convenient, it is less bothered be advertisements every 25 seconds. Making it exclusively available to the Internet is as Damon said, "A dick move" though.
