    Burka Ban

Yesterday, wearing a burka was made illegal all over France. First arrests happened today: http://www.english.rfi.fr/france/201104 ... test-paris

I'm pretty ambivalent over this ban. While I think it's disgusting that anyone should be forced by their religion to cover their face in public, I also think that people should have complete freedom in what they wear (if anything).

There's also legal reasons, wearing a burka conceals your identity as well as any other full-face mask, though it's safe to say it'd be a minority.

Wish they'd bring this over to the UK.

Never heard about this, in Paris right now and I've seen about 4 women with the full face cloths. I think this is pretty sad, sure for identity checks it is okay, but nothing else.

I can see if for safety issues.
But I think someone has a right to cover there own face or not.

    Whatever.
I don't give a damn if they ban Burkas here or not, because most Muslims here aren't that religious.

While it's insensitive toward the Muslim community, it does have some legal benefits. Then again, if someone is going to commit a crime in the first place, I don't think the potential criminal charge of wearing a facemask is really going to make the prospecting criminal reconsider committing the crime.

Sure. Everybody has their own belief and opinion, and I respect them.

Unless if you listen to Justin Bieber. I'd probably want to kill you then.

There is also a full ban on anything that covers the face in Belgium.
I think it's a brilliant way to screw Muslims over without directly aiming at them.
Though, In my honest "racist" opinion, if you want to get Muslims out of your country you should disadvantage the man. The woman already have a hard time living.

See, they shouldn't have this ban.
