In which language do deaf people think?

Deaf people have never heard any sounds/words, that means that they can't learn a language the way we understand it. They can't learn a language with their eyes too, that's why I wondered in which way they think?

What do you think?/What are your thoughts on the topic?

By the way, I don't know if it fits here good, feel free to move the topic.

It seems kinda logic that they would think in images and symbols, written language is made up of symbols anyway if you think about it.

I've often thought this only a for a baby. If it can't speak, then what does it think, how does it think? Baby thinks 'I want food' but it can't think that because it can't speak. If I think about it too hard I feel a bit dizzy :I.

First of all, if you become deaf this isn't a problem.
Second, when you think of any given word in your head, the word itself, E.g. "Cheese" is just a sensory attachment, the actual Experience of thinking the word "cheese" is NOT based in the word itself, its based in the idea of it, its qualia, what its actually like to think "Cheese"
So a born-deaf person would experience the meaning of the word cheese, with some other sensory association... Its difficult for us to imagine it as we nearly always associate this type of experience with a audible input, as its the most effective for communicating... imagine trying to convey an image linked with the word cheese to someone else without sign language...
If someone has no sense at all, they could not think.

Deaf people can still write.. Seems only logical to me that they think in the language they learn to write in. If not, serious mindfuck.

Have none of you ever thought without language or images before? Sometimes my mind will just give on conveying things to me and I'll think very literally in concepts and ideas without images or words. It is by it's very nature impossible to describe accurately with words, but I'm getting better at thinking like that, it used to just freak me out when I'd start doing it.

This, although that wouldn't mean much for pronunciation. Most deaf people learn to talk in their native language though, it just sounds like an elephant giving birth, but they are often able to talk, although sign language is in most cases much more convenient. So my guess is the language they speak in. But I think their language is, like said before, based on imagery and can't be mentally expressed with sounds in their head.
