    Saddam, Sentenced To Death.

November 5th, 2006, Saddam Hussein was sentenced to death by hanging for crimes against humanity and man-slaughter.

My point in philosophy is, do you believe in capitalist punishment?

    I don't because:

If a man kills another man in battle, it's called heroic. But if a man kills another man in the heat of passion. It's called murder.

Isin't killing someone for crimes just as bad as them??

I mean, don't get me wrong. Saddam deserves what's coming to him for slaughtering all those innocent people. But killing him would make us as bad as he is (not all of us, I'm speaking figuratively of course).

    Thoughts?

i don't think its good to do anything. If they kill him it could make people angry and could cause terrorist attacks. And if they keep him alive, people could still be angry and that could also cause more attacks. For me this seems like a no win situation

Yeah, it's pretty much a lose, lose situation, no matter what you do, many people are going to be mad at you. But I think that he made his own bed, and now he is going to sleep in it.

So, technically, any and every question of ethics or knowledge is philosophy. Make sure you know something about something before you trash it, k?
