The theory to disprove all other theories. :D

Every thread in this section is either about life, god, the bible, religion, the universe, or faking the 9/11. >_> So now, here is something to wrap your heads around, and to prove that everything on this board is meaningless.

We all think that this is the most important time in the world, when we are on the verge of scientific breakthrough, if I am correct. But think back about 60 years ago. The people back then thought that as well. And so did the men and women 600 years ago, and 6000 years ago (not that specific thing, per se). So will the people 60 years from now, and so will the people who knows when? My point is, every new moment in history is more important than the last. But does it really matter?

If the world is destroyed tomorrow, would that be the most important moment in history? Would that be the thing that really matters? No. Because sooner or later, eventually there will be another life-existent planet that will develop scientifical knowledge and become the most important moment in history all over again. In the grand scheme of things, nothing important really matters at all, because it will just happen again when the cycle repeats. EVENTUALLY (either in 700 years or in trillions or years) it will all happen again, thus proving that it something important happens, it only matters now, and universally, it doesn't matter at all.

Now to go take some aspirin. Comments on this?

PS: No offense to anyone finding that offensive.

I'd like to say I lol'd at that.

I agree if you on the most part. Almost nothing really matters in this world because we really don't play a big role on anything. And when we go there will be other planets like outs that will be nearly the same and will be thinking the exact same thing. Its a continuous cycle and it really does gimme a migraine.

That's true if Evolution is true. But I don't believe in Evolution so I don't believe that that is true.

But if you are wondering, I'm not offended, I just have a different opinion, than yours.

People say that it couldn't be coinsidence that we turned out this way, but think about it. There are a million ways we could have turned out each with the same chance of happening. We just hit this one on the nose. Coincedence it is not because its just one of many outcomes.

A thing like "most important event in the world" is purely opinionated. Each person has different views, roles, whatever, and so each person has different opinions. And so, you cant say its not important, because that's your opinion. For example, the French Revolution. Would you say thats the most important event in history? Likely not, but the people of France at the time and maybe even now would argue so.

To sum it up, these kinda things are too opinion-based for there to be one answer.

I don't believe that the most important thing in the world is haoppening right now, it has yet to happen. Because of my religious beliefs, I believe there is an infinate amount of concious sentiant HUMAN BEINGS in the outer stretches of endless space. So, in essence, nothing in this world maters, and our greater work will be carried out in the eternities that follow this life.
