    Button Play Sound

    (This is my old topic that I'm just updating, so ignore the below two posts)
    Anyway, I just need help with something that sounds real simple...how do I make a button play a sound when the mouse is released on the button? Thanks for anyone that helps.

    I'm not quite sure if this'll work. It's a longshot, I just looked at the export image option, and I'm taking an utter guess. If you can't resize an an image, try exporting it as a .png hence its can have transparency enabled. I'm not really gonna guarantee it'll work, but it might be worth a try

    Thanks for trying, but no, that didn't work. Thanks, though. Anymore suggestions?

    probably the easiest way would be to have a movie clip on a layer wherever you want the sound playing button to be, and in the movie clip, set the sound file to 'stream'.
    Set your movie clip to be as long as your sound file, and on the first frame add
    Code:
    stop ();
    and your play button.

    use the regular 'play' code on it of course ^^
    Code:
    on (release) {
       play ():
    }
    and maybe add a 'stop' button on all the frames with music, if you want that option.

    if I didn't explain somthing very well, let me know.
