Do all Good/Pro Flashers use a graphics tablet? Does anyone just use their mouse?

    Re: Question

It's possible to use flash without a tablet but a tablet is preferred. There are lots of animations out there which are drawn using the mouse.

    Re: Question

I'd just like to point out that this was animated with a mouse:

There was an interview with the animator on coldhardflash.com a few years back that I read and I was so amazed by the fact it was done with a mouse that it has stuck with me.

So no, it's not at all necessary to use a tablet, but from personal experience I would definitely say they come in handy.

    Re: Question

I use both. With practice you can use either. It's all about preference. For me, I use my tablet to draw and my mouse to actually animate the drawings. When it comes to backgrounds with straight lines I just use my mouse and the line tool. You could also draw your characters and backgrounds on paper, scan them, and trace and animate them with a mouse.
