    Not a tribute

[This was not a tribute, thus posting this in the Freestyle section]

So I was animating a fighting scene for one of my projects and I realized that I really suck at animating fights. All I really had experience in was animating combos, so I revised a way to practice fighting movements. Here you see I have animated a stick appearing to be punched by someone else, yet there is no one there. I figured that this part was my weakness at animating fights therefore I animated the victim [only].

NOTE: foot-placement is not perfect.Yes it does look corny.

Idk if it's just my internet, but the link to your animation is broken. You might want to upload it again.

It looks very cool! I especially like the way his body jolts back at the very last punch to the gut, but you keep his feet in place and his position doesn't change. It seems like a really cool idea to practice reactions and easing like this. The more I look at it, the stranger the punch gets to me. Maybe it's because I stare too hard at the arm and I lose my eye for space (which you show very well with his legs!).
I'd love to see more like this! Really cool study!
