    Wireless Internet connection problems

Just got a laptop and the wireless internet connection doesnt seem to be connecting, I tried repairing it with the automatic repair feature.

I get two errors at diffrent times, one says Windows could not finish repairing the problem because the following action could not be completed:

    Connection to the Wireless network
and it sometimes says Renewing Ip under this,

    Anybody got any ideas?

First of all, do you have a wireless card, either external or built in?

Are you pretty close to the router you're connecting to? because when I was in another room (farthest in the house from the router) I had a lot of connection problems. So if you're right next to it and still can't connect, your router might just suck.

I honestly can't think of anything else to try. Your laptop picks it up, so you've probably got the right settings. maybe try connecting to a different network at a coffee shop or a friend's house, and if you can it might be new router time.

Are you from britain, well if yes press the FN button and F2.
This enables wireless. So simple yet it works. This happened just yesterday to me at a friends house. Coinsedense? lol.
Try it, if it works i rock. If it doesn't well, try some other stuff.

On the F2 there might also be a small icon that looks like a line with circles round it, if yes, its the right button.
