    Mass Effect.

Am I the only one here who's utterly addicted after a single taste?

I've played it for about 5 hours in a row yesterday and I can't wait to go back to school. That game rocks so much. For anyone who liked KOTOR, this is a must-have, even though the combat system's different.

So who else out there has played Mass Effect and what are your oppinions?

Not played it, but considering getting it. I'd just like to ask a few questions kpls:

Basically, how is the fighting part of it. I've heard it's slow and clunky by one reviewer, and others don't seem to mention it much.
Is it massively expansive and you have to root out what to do, or is it easy to get involved in the main/side quests?
Have you ever played Oblivion, and if so, how would you compare the two? This is directed at anyone having played both, as well as Damon.

    LOLE.

I saw my brother playing this, seemed pretty cool. But not the most exciting game to watch.

That guy pretty much summed it up for me. It's a meh...ok game imo, but there is lots of much better games out there.

Yup, I was addicted to it back when I got it. I beat it several times, but never really looked for everything.
I haven't played it in quite awhile though.

am i the only one who thinks it sucks ?

I bought it when it was released, went on the first part, AND YOU WALK FOR AGES , i mean i got so bored just wandering to a point before doing anything.

Get it if you enjoy walking around for 4 hours before shotting one easy to beat guy.

You determine how long you wander. You can choose to go mile-deep into the story and do all the side-quests there are etc, or you stick to the main quest and get less story but more action in a row. Also, there is an immediate transportation system on the big ship at the beginning, so you might've missed that. And, alright, even then theres quite some walking involved, but with these kind of games, there just is. Enjoy the scenery and soak up the atmosphere. Thats a huge part of these kind of games, the overall atmosphere and the story.
