    Sound not working! Need help!

I just reformatted my computer because, accidentally when creating a partition in my harddrive to dual-boot ubuntu and XP I accidentally wrote over XP. :| I'm a dumbass. Now with it back installed, I can't seem to get the sound to work, my speakers are plugged in but they are not being detected by my computer. Any help ?

The first thing I can think of is reinstalling the proper drviers if you havent already.

^^ Basically what he said. I know that when I reformat, I have a disk that came with the computer of all drivers I need (when I reformat, nothing of mine works, internet, sound, etc) so I just pop it in and download them. If you have one of them, do that. If that doesn't work or you don't have one. Download Realtek HD Audio Manager. That's what I need because my sound doesn't work without it.
