    Penumbra series

Well this game reminds me of games like Myst III, but only because of the puzzles and the interaction. It's a very unique game, with decent graphics and physics, but together in this really creepy atmosphere. I'm not kidding, I've never been this scared in a game since STALKER.

Only problem I have with this game is that some of the mechanics in the game are really hard to pick up. Like one time where I'm trying to fill a machine with gas, it told me that the cap was impossible to get off, it took me an hour to realize that all that I had to do was hit it with a hammer.

It is very much like fear because of its lighting and level design, but so far in OVERTURE I haven't been able to use a gun. So it's very melee dependant. If you like reading as part of the story then you might like it as well.

Also it's one of the cheapest games on steam currently, so I'd suggest you try the demos and see. There's one demo for each game in the series.

Not according to the official website or steam.

I just got these, I'll be playing them when they finish downloading on Steam. Is Overture the first or second?

    Re: Penumbra series

Hey guys, just finished all three and I have to say, black plague was without a doubt the best of all three.

Overture was a great concept but got slightly repetitive as it went along. Still it was a great introduction to the penumbra universe.

Black plague had a better plot direction and definitely ties in with one of the greatest horror games I have ever played. And it's probably the most unique.

Requiem... Well it's just puzzles, and no storyline, it's not even fun. They don't even tie any loose ends, they just have some notes on the staff before they died. Did I mention there's no enemies?

Reccomendation, play until black plague then just stop, requiem can do without.
