    Arkham Asylum

Kinda surprised this hasn't been made, but the again I'm a geek...

The demo was released today, it;s pretty good. The game itself is set to become best superhero licensed game, which isn't that hard, but the over all coverage and press suggest the game may actually be a decent stand alone game.

    Re: Arkham Asylum

I've seen a video about this game on TV. They say that they're finally going to make Batman seem human, instead of the superhuman that he has been in past games. I'm looking forward to it. It looks great.

    Re: Arkham Asylum

I played it, the graphics are great, the combat is good, and the AI is pretty good except for the fact that they are ridiculously blind.

It feels a lot like a superhero splinter cell for the stealth portion of the game, which is great because I'm a big fan of the series. Of course it's just the demo so I didn't get to see much of the combat, but it was pretty good nonetheless.

Two bad things about it, the camera, it's everywhere. Two, the physics portion of the game sometimes cause severe fps rape.

    Otherwise epic game

Yeah, I thought the demo was pretty fun. That final room is pretty fun if you alert all the guys to your position and try to escape without spamming RB (or whatever it is on the PS3)

Anyways, if it's getting those kind of reviews, I might seriously consider getting it. I'm kind of afraid it will be too repetitive, (you repeat the things you did in the demo 800 times) but if people are saying otherwise, it'll probably be a pretty awesome game.

Plus the game was a pretty decent nostalgia bomb since I played the shit out of Batman Forever for my PC (bitch could only run through command prompt) and the first level was Arkham Asylum.

[edit] After reading yadda's post, I can't agree more about the camera part. It was pretty awful, especially at the beginning. I didn't mind it so much later on, but it could have used some improvement.

You get to play as the joker on PS3, fuck the batarang, exploding teeth ftw.

The demo was pretty cool, i like how everything leads to punching people in the head, then punching them in the back of the head, or a glid kick, but inverted takedown > all. Mark Hamill voices the Joker btw.

    Re: Arkham Asylum

    Ledge takedown > all.

After being able to do it in Splinter Cell, I decided to try it out for giggles.

I shat a brick when I realised Batman can actually pull off the same move.
    And the corner takedowns.

Don't get me started on the glass ceiling takedown.

Man, I better play though a few more times, I had no idea you could do things like that.

I'll probably get this when it comes out now. With Splinter Cell being delayed to 2010, I might as well pick this up for my stealth fix.
