    Hotkeys and their awesome uses.

I use hotkeys for tonnes of things, but the best thing is is their simplicity and expanse of things to do. Hotkeys are simple, a bit overrated, but work well. When playing things in fullscreen, you can use a hotkey and switch your song in iTunes without minimizing anything.
Post about your hotkey setup, if you have one, or post the programs you think are most useful.

The programs listed may be used at the reader's discretion, do not feel obliged to use them in any way.[/center:zuiey44f]

If you want to suggest a program, use this format:
    Code:
    Program:
    Link:
    Description:
    Top programs:
    Program: Autohotkeys
    Link: http://www.autohotkey.com/download/
Description: made to load scripts. These scripts may be designed for any hotkey setup. It's also open source.

    Program:
    Link: http://www.mattberube.com/software/iTunesKeys/
Description: What I use for controlling iTunes, it does many things. Though, it doesn't have a hotkey for searching iTunes immediately, I had to resort to Autohotkeys for that.

I don't know if this is just firefox or all browsers, but:

Hold CTRL and press enter when you're navigating to automatically put www. and .com around the word you typed.

Hold SHIFT and press enter for www. and .net

Hold SHIFT and CTRL for www. and .org

    Quick 'n' easy.

    Yeah, I do this too.

It's a habit, that's quite bad when I'm using another computer (like at school) because it does nothing in IE

Thanks for that, useful, have to get into the habit of using it.

    B, E, ctrl z, ctrl y (or Shift+ctrl+z in Photoshop) in Photoshop/image manipulating/creating programs.

Oh and if this counts, buy presets and binding keys to buy certain things in Counter Strike Source. I have, on the numpad, 0 for Shotty, Del (.) for AutoShotty, Enter for P90, 1 for Deagle, 2 for Elites, 3 for he nades, 4 for M4, 5 for AK47.

    Very useful.

Aside from the obvious ones, I use Windows key + E to get to my computer files quicker, and Windows key + L to other people's computers at school to piss them off.
