Re: Xbox 360 at 54.2% failure rate

I still don't see why people think the RROD is a HUUUUUUUGGGGGE problem. I'm on my 3rd 360, and each time the repair was quick and easy.

I have a third generation, so the RROD is not supposed to happen

Hopefully that rate will decrease as third generations are purchased cause that makes microsoft look shit

My friend's Xbox got the RRoD when I came over, then he just unplugged it, turned it off, waited about 30 minutes, and replugged it in and it worked perfectly fine. This has happened like 5 times now.

It doesn't sound like it's working perfectly fine.

Probably wasn't RRoD. If you don't plug in the power correctly the ring lights up. :/ I shit myself when I did that once.

yes the xbox has alot of functional problems, but if you think about it, does that mean the xbox is bad? the playstation 3 is overpriced and few platform only games for it are any good, and the wii is a terrible console for the hardcore gamer, just because there are technical faults does not mean it is bad. (I know this is rather off topic and there havent been fanboy wars, but i wanted to make this clear)

Yes. The only difference is the HDD disk size and HDMI, if I am not mistaken.
