    Windows 7

    Finally got myself a release copy of the Pro version via Micrsofts Student Network and not just an RC build. The one thing I've noticed is speed. From boot up times to games and applications it's tons faster than vista and generally more responsive. Thankfully I had a less of a headache setting up crossfire on 7 than Vista, it just worked the way it should.

    The issue I face at the moment is that I can't map network shares from my NAS drive, still though small price to pay for a rather large gain.

    Small gripes;
    - No classic folder view,
    - Very hard to edit program previews.
    - Task bar icons?

    I'd certainly recommend everyone using 7 over Vista specially if you on a x64, you'll notice a major speed gain.

    Gonna be picking up a new computer to modify from best buy so I can get a free upgrade key. I heard that Microsoft has a sort of BASH console thing like Linux for Windows 7. Is this true?

    With my new rig the OS comes with an upgrade voucher, I'll most certainly be getting it when it comes out.

    I scored the release candidate today off of a mate. Burning it to a disk right now and am about to throw it in my desktop. Do you have to patch the bastard to get themes or have they finally let you just drag them in?

    I've heard nothing but good reports on this except for a few people saying games don't work.

    Yeah, this. Everything sounds good about it, other than the possibility of a lot of games not working.

    I'm in the process of buying parts to build a new computer. When the new rig is built, I will probably use Windows 7. I love the looks of it, and I hear it's faster than XP.

    I have the RC client, definitely going for the full very soon.

    It runs everything I need it to including TF2, FL Studio, and Photoshop, and does in record time compared to when I had XP.
