    50$ game

So, i've got 50 bucks for a pc or ps2 game, but i'd prefer a pc game.

I have an ATI Radeon Xpress 1150, which is shit, but it runs half life two on near maximum settings with a steady 40-50 framerate, and a drop to about 30 when the High Dynamic Range kicks in from going from dark areas to bright areas. I cannot, however, implement anti aliasing, as this completely FUCKING sloooooooows down any game i use, but if it's set low on AA with no shadows, it runs pretty well.

I'm thinking of buying L4D, or Dead space, and begging for more money, but anything else reccommended for the price tag?

Skype, I know i'm a faggot and you hate me, but could I possibly be able to run STALKER?

    Re: 50$ game

I posted in help about finding out my specs, but i can run most high graphics games at about medium and MAYBE high if i tweak some settings.

Just throw some games you think may work out there.

    Re: 50$ game

You didnt even know about dxdiag..

    Alright..

50 dollars.. thats us im assuming

You can run stalker, on low~medium with dynamic lighting off..
    so basically you got..
1.6 dual core cpu which is rated at 2.8 pentium 4 processor
    and 2 gigs ram
256 Virtual memory on your card..
Well, I'd get an Ati HD 2400 PRO, only 69 dollars and thats australian, if you were to upgrade that is.
    Cod 4 runs alright,
Gmod, thats a lot of fun and you get a lot out of it, 10 dollars
Battlefield 2142, that runs great and you could get a lot out of it
whole game only needs 2.2 gigs of your hd,
well optimized as well Dark Messiah, Intense Melee.. has mp but its shit, stick to singleplayer.. lots of fun
    its basically source engine
    Soldat.. im kidding..
Basically unless its tf2 on a source engine.. you can run it and get a high fps..Imo turn hdr it doesn't really help, and just chews up performance..

Thats about it.. you can a few good games, or one highly overated one.. your choice

    Re: 50$ game

It's a Dell Inspiron laptop, so to get a new graphics card i'd need to pay through my arse to get it installed.

I'll definately buy what you've suggested, and no, i didn't know about dxdiag, I just knew my graphics card was somewhere around 256 mb, so i buy games that require that to run.

    Thanks for suggestions.

Yeah PH03N1X is actually right about something. Laptop hardware isn't really supported.

    www.canyourunit.com

That has stalker. Use that, but bare in mind that even if it says you can run it, doesn't mean you can. Canyourunit says I can run Prototype, but I get lag even on low settings.

You could probably run stalker on lowest settings.
