    Gaming Laptop

Copypasta from another site although it IS MY question.

My best friend in the Marines is now able to have a lot of free time. He works out, does his class and has free time from 4 till' 10. They have a recreation hall where they have computers and shit set up but he wants to be able to game in the confinement of his room. So today he called me and asked if I could help him out with getting a gaming laptop. Price isn't an issue he said, since he gets over 1000 a month and the only thing he has to pay for is his cigarettes.

I told him I'd ask around so now I'm here.

any recommendations for something he won't be paying off for the next 6 years that will still be able to run some pretty decent games. He says he wants something that can at least run Crysis, which I know is asking for a bit, but he wants something he'll have for awhile.

If he gets 1000 a month and his only expense is cigarettes, tell him to save up and buy a laptop from alienware. It's the easiest thing to do if you ask me.

Yeah but I've been reading how alienwares break pretty easily, and they have pretty shitty customer service.

He'll prolly either get one of those or an xps either way.

Yeah I think Alienware are overpriced too. But given his circumstances it'd be the easiest way to get a sweet laptop gaming rig.

Well if price isn't an issue, go for an alienware.

I don't know much about gaming laptops apart from the fact that they're expensive. But the Alienware ones actually look like a good value, looking at the specs anyway.

Try falcon-northwest if price isn't an issue. Custom paint jobs and I'm pretty sure they have the worlds first i7 SLi laptops. They're also the kind of company that hand builds stuff unlike how Alienware is outsourced by Dell to countries like India and crap.

I don't know much about gaming laptops, but Asus seems to have some your buddy might want to look at.
