    Re: Building a new computer.

Considering you're asking on what parts to get, I'll take it you have no clue what you're doing. I'd highly advise you don't get a custom build; you'll probably fuck it up.

BUT, if you insist, just get these parts:

    Case.
    Motherboard.
    Power Supply.
Processor ( will come with standard heatsink/cooling ).
    RAM.
    Graphics Card ( Optional )
    Sound Card ( Optional )

All of the above will / should come with instructions on how to use, what cables to hook up where etc.

When buying, just make sure all of the specs add up. IE, make sure the Motherboard supports DDR2 if you're buying DDR2 RAM.

It's really not that hard. As long as you get parts that are compatible, and you can do that by just doing some research and asking for advice.

I'll edit this post with some shit from newegg.

I've built customs before, I'm just asking for links, because I don't know what to buy. I've only built in a class, with parts already chosen.

We still could use a little more info.

Do you want to be able to use DirectX 11? How big should the hard drive be? Are you going to overclock anything? What are you building the PC for?
