LOCK: James Cameron's Avatar: The Game

I'm thinking about getting this game. It looks pretty good, and I've seen some really cool gameplay videos, but what do you guys think?

If any of you have it, could you give me your opinion? I'm thinking of buying it, but want to be sure it's not a total rip off game.

Every game that's based off of a movie usually sucks.
But I've seen good stuff too.
I would save your money for something better though. :P

It's shit, a friend of mine played it at my house and it was just dreadful.

Yeah what Ward said, you should save up for a better game, it looks cool either way.
The critiques gave it some pretty harsh ratings though.
    Still blank lol

    Okay, thanks.

I just really hope someone has something good to say about it, becasue the movie was amazing, and if the game is anything like the movie, I assume it would be too, but that's why I'm asking.

The story is pretty linear and seem to follow the movie's story a bit, the graphics aren't bad, but what truly kills it, is the gameplay itself. If you aren't into gameplay that much [if you aren't, then you obviously don't know what good games are] and care more about how precious the graphics look even though, they aren't the best compared to games being released currently [i.e. S.T.A.L.K.E.R: CoP, Bioshock 2, etc.], then this is a game that is worth the rent.

Only thing that I'm glad about this game is, that it's not made by LJN.

    What's CoP, and what's LJN?

Anyway, thanks guys. I think I'll just get BFBC2 instead then.

    CoP = Call of Pripyat
LJN = Notorious game developers that have made countless movie games such as the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Halloween, Beetlejuice, and much more. AVGN did reviews of them and you can see how bad their games were.

If you must REALLY know, LJN only PUBLISHED a number of them. Believe it or not, Rare made a bunch of them, INCLUDING Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

    Read the top of that.

You can also read through the timeline of this. It shows a whole bunch of other shitty games as well.

I decided to rent the game. It's alright. Multiplayer is gay. I'll get BFBC2 instead. Lock please.
