    I need a laptop

    Hey guys.
    I need a laptop.
I'm not very computer literate when it comes to hardware, so I want your help.
I want something that can run things like Photoshop, Flash, Toribash, Endorphin, etc., but it wouldn't need to run anything like Crysis, or even games like Modern Warfare 2.
I'd like a fairly good amount of hard drive space, but nothing crazy big.
Basically, I want a laptop that can run fairly lightweight things, but that's all I need.
I'd like to spend around $400, but if that's too cheap then I can go higher.
Could you guys recommend me some laptops? I know I'm not being very specific, but I don't really know what else to add. :P

Yeah, pretty much. Toribash is pretty much the only game I'd really play on it, and that's not heavyweight at all.
I'd pretty much need it for photoshop, sony vegas, flash, stuff like that.
I mean, I'd surf the web on it, so I'd want it to be fairly fast, but I don't need it exceptionally fast or anything.

Sounds like something along the lines of a netbook would do good for you. You can pick them up for around 250.

I have a netbook and I would never recommend it for light games, photoshop, video editing, etc... I think $400 is too cheap.

How much money do you think I should spend for a laptop, then?

Decent laptops are usually at least $800 from what I've seen.

Mine was $300, and can run all of the programs he mentioned, perfectly fine. Not the best for games though.

    And no, not a netbook.

I wouldn't recommend a netbook due to the fact that they are quite small. If you're working with pictures or animations, you should never consider buying a small screened laptop.

    Re: I need a laptop

You could realistically get a laptop that would run everything mentioned in the $500-$600 dollar range, and that would run them all quite nicely too. I can't tell you much along the lines of brands though, aside from that I've had bad experiences with toshiba.
