    The Elder Scrolls Online

If you haven't heard of this, here is the trailer. I personally can not wait for this, I even signed up for the closed beta. I love my MMORPG's and I love being able to use a bow as a weapon. This also made me even more excited.

What are your thoughts on this? I've heard some people say it's going to destroy The Elder Scrolls franchise. I completely and utterly disagree.

Can't say i'm too excited, I won't get my hopes up when an MMO is published with a big name behind it, they usually end up butchering it or forgetting what makes a good MMO. But we shall see, they might surprise me for once.

    Re: The Elder Scrolls Online

I've been a fan since Morrowind first came out, so I signed up for the beta first chance I got.

I still think I'm going to be severely disappointed, though. I just don't think they can make an Elder Scrolls game with the do-anything-you-want playstyle, without making the game hopelessly inaccessible to casuals. Most gamers don't want to trek across the country and get completely raped by a gang of bandits, or finally happen upon a town and find all of it's inhabitants slaughtered and the stores looted. Without taking these risks, I think it's going to feel just like another WoW or something, but set in Elder Scrolls lore.

This. Hahaha you can't blame the game for that.

To be honest I wouldn't mind if it was WoW set in Elder Scrolls Lore. But I would like to see something different, like Guild Wars 2 did, even though I stopped playing that after like a week or 2.

It needs to have a great endgame if it wants to appeal to me.

I don't think it will maintain superior playability like Skyrim.
I used to play World of Warcraft, and being so familiar with that I'm steering clear of this spectacular failure lol.

I still don't understand why they made this instead of incorporating co-op worlds into Skyrim.

Ah well. I'm not really much of an MMO gamer, interested to see how it turns out, though!

Because it's not Bethesda that is making it. Hence, the other company (whatever the name is), wants to have their own independent project.
