Paranoia. HORROR READERS WILL 'DEVOUR' THIS! +GORE!

    Paranoia. A scary word.
I'm Josh. A 21-year-old man. Nothing special, right? That is until i get a phone-call that makes me very... paranoid.

It all started on Saturday evening. Fire crackling in front of me, stinging my eyes, but i welcome it. My cat at the foot of my bare feet, keeping them warm. My steaming mug of hot chocolate- a blob of melting marshmallow within the warm liquid. I have a very warm, cosy, almost haunted looking house. I keep to myself- I like anti-socialism, in my opinion, it helps you survive. You need to be discplined, cold, un-affctionate. My only best friend is my cat. I hate animals, but this little bugger stands out, he's like me. Cold.
So, I was finishing up my hot chocolate and decided to write a story. I do love the occasional horror story. So i got up and sat at the desk where i kept my type writer and my old style telephone.

    Click. Click. Click.

The sound of the type writer's buttons are the best in the world. Better than any classical music, better than anything associated with music, in my opinion.

    Click. Click. Click.

No other noise apart from the fire crackling, my cat lightly purring in it's sleep, and my type writer, click click clicking

    Click. Click. Cli-

    Ring. Ring. Ring.

"Who the hell would call at-," I look at my grandfather clock.
"11Pm on a Saturday?" I finished my curse.

    I pick up. Big mistake.
There's nothing but harsh breathing on the other end of the phone.

"Hello?" I say, paranoia within starting to flare inside of me.

    Harsh breathing.

"Hello?" I say, shouting now. Letting my paranoia show.

"I'm watching." The voice says. The tone of his voice was very deep. Almost... Haunted.

    The sound of the reciever.

    Doooooooooooooooooooooo.

I put down my phone. Paranoia blaring inside of me, jumping at any noise. Always looking around expecting the man to jump out at me.

I go to sleep, thinking it's a practical joke.

    Wrong.

Well, this isn't finished yet, this time i'm not aiming for a typical horror story, but... Yeah. comments?

    Re: Paranoia.

Tucked in Bed. Nice and warm, two sheets above me, two marshmallowy, fluffly pillows underneath my head.
    I couldn't sleep. Of course i couldn't, i just got a call from a stranger that's saying he's 'watching'.
Should i not be scared? Would you? Yes.
The one way to help make me sleep is take two deep breaths of my lavender smelling blankets, that helps make me sleep, then think of a happy thought.
I have one bedside phone- Very noisy, makes a clanging sound when someone is calling, almost like an alarm clock. I have another type writer for writing stories when i'm in my bedroom, and i have my wardrobe and television. Not much, but comfortable enough.
Still can't sleep. I'm getting frustrated. Sleep. Sleep! Just sleep, Joshua!

Count sheep, they always say that helps, right? Let's try that. I feel my discipline slipping from me, and my modern, frightened self coming in.

    One. Two. Thr-

    CLANG. CLANG. CLANG. CLANG. CLANG!

I jumped so high i could almost touch the ceiling with my head.

"What the fuck?" Oh no, my discipline is going.
I sit up straight, cough into my hand and pick up the phone.

    "Hello, Joshua."

    No sound from me.

"I like the story you wrote- you should finish it sometime. But 'sometime' won't come around, will it?"

    Dooooooooooooooo.

I quickly dial the police. The phone operator's voice is like a sanctuary.

"Hello, phone operator here, how may i help,"
Her voice sounded lazy, not caring. Although i couldn't see her, she reminded me of the 'phone operator' sterotype, where they have chewing gum splattering around in their mouths, a nail file straightening their already straight nails, glasses and a pony-tail.

"I-i-i- i just had a phone c-c-call and i-i was wondering if you c-c-could tell m-me where it was p-p-placed in," I stuttered. I didn't even think i made sense. But luckily she understood.

"hold on, a second, i'll try trace the call." There was a beep and a voice saying, the call has been diverted for a second, please hold.

"The call was placed in 13 Hillplace Avenue," The words petrified me instantly.

    I hung up.

    13 Hillplace Avenue was...

    My house.

    Re: Paranoia.

Oh, shit. Does it really sound like a movie? I never knew there was an idea like this ):

My House has creeky stairs. Don't all old houses have creeky stairs? Well, since my house is 500 years old, you wouldn't be suprised if the stairs were creeky.

I wish i never bought an old house.

I heard the clicking of shoes on the wood on the ground floor. Muffled footsteps on the carpet. Resumed clicking.

    Crreeek. Creeek. Creek.

    My heart-beat stopped.

    Creek. Crreeeeek.

    That was the worst step.

The one in front of my bedroom!

I wiggle myself under the blankets, prepared for... What was I preparing for? A monster? A tall, thief with a mask? Jig-saw? I don't know, but by his low voice, i'd figure he was scary.

My door opens, i couldn't hear it, but i could sense it. The air being sucked in from the door, the releasing of the door knob. I could all sense it.

"Give me back my riiiiinnngggg" The voice fades into silence. Think the person was gone, i poke my head from my covers.

"Oh my god, what the hell was that?" I wipe sweat from my brow and-

A Skeletal face comes swooshing past my face and screams,

    "MY RING!,"

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHH" I scream in reply. The 'skeleton's' voice is now a growl,

"Give me the ring you possesed from me 2.85 years ago.

    "W-ww-w-w"

    "NOW!"

    "WHAT ARE Y-YOU T-T-T-TALKING ABOUT?"

Lol, thanks for the comments, guys.

Before the 'skeleton' could answer me, suddenly organs popped into their places, muscle came backing up the organs- it was almost as if he were... Changing back into human. then skin topped onto his muscle then finally he grew some facial details.
The man had thin mustache- just a few thick lines of hair sprouting fom his nose, he had a beard, but once again, it was very thin. He had somewhat long hair- which was up to his chin, his hair was dark brown to black.

    He had red eyes.
No, he wasn't an albino, otherwise he'd have white hair, so obviously this was either... What was it? I can't say it was a practical joke because... Well, i saw him disappear into thin air and pop out again- then i saw him reform into a human. Not normal is it? Unless you can change into a fucking skeleton. Oh, then he has the red eyes... But just then, when i was about to look at his face more, the light flickered on. And i saw he was looking down, smiling, deep shadow patches under his eyes, and only the red eyes glowing. He had a menacing grin, more than menacing... Pure evil.

    The door opened.

Oh, great. Another man came in, just he looked somewhat friendly, not... Evil.
I wanted to beg to him to get this man standing at the foot of my bed away, but when he came in three feet distance, he was just as scary as the other man.
His eyes turned from ocean blue- to lightning cyan- almost white. His light, kind looking blond hair disappeared and scars appeared all over his head- But his teeth didn't change. No, no.

    His hands did.

Big, sharp nails that could kill and elephant with one single scratch, Blood on the tips of the nail- Just then, i had a sickening thought- I was going to die. I had just realised that.

I was going to die, right there.
