Read if you're an aspiring writer. (or even if you aren't)

I like to write, and judging from this section I'm not the only one. I stumbled upon a rather excellent book today, its called On Writing and it's by Stephen King.

The whole book is King's tips about how to go from being a competent, but nothing special, writer, to being a good, perhaps publishable writer. A lot of people here have posted good short stories, poems, etc. and I would recommend anyone who wants a bit of input on how to get better read this book. King offers some great tips on how to get ideas, how to develop your ideas, and how to keep your inspiration alive long enough to finish the damned story.

Get it, I just read it and its incredible.

Stephen King's work bores me to tears, I do sometimes wonder why he is so well known...

yeah, he does tend to put in a ton of useless filler, but this book isnt about his work. Its more of what publishers and such look for.
