    Bob Marley

Yes, arguably reggaes biggest star. He died a while back (30 years), but I just discovered his music. I'm downloading about a billion songs in bearshare. My favorite songs are,

    Try Me
    Stop the Train
    Is This Love
    I Shot the Sheriff
    I'm gay.

Reggae... >_> It's too full of weed for my liking. He had some good songs I suppose, but they're all just... so... boring. -_-

    hmm

Unfortunately baha's right. Bob Marley got virtually ALL his inspiration from bong. He's a jamaican hero because he fought back crooked cops with his lyrics that he wrote when he was mostly high. The music is good though if you listen for the message and beat. Just look at Damian Marley, his album was number one on several occasions and his whole album is his expireince with sex and bong. So reggae is good in my opinion but it mostly is the pot speaking.

BS. He got his inspiration from growing up in poverty. In no way did he get inspiration from weed. The fact that hes rastafarian contributes to his music STYLE (not ispiration) might be where you get that from.

A few of my favorites are Zion Lion, Jammin and Redemption Song.

I dunno, after listening to nothing but Redemption Song for an hour once, I can safely say that weed wasn't that big of an inspiration.

Bob Marley may not be my favorite musician per se, but I do respect him as a person and an artist. It's hard not too.

lol, What bandito said was true. Virtually none of his songs were inspired by weed. btw, I don't like modern reggae, because the messages they send are about weed, sex, and violence. Rap with a different tune. Bob marley's songs are all about love, equal opportunity, racism, and problems with society. I haven't heard one song from him about weed, but I could be wrong.

btw, another of my favorites now is Buffalo Soldier.
    I'm gay.
