    An End To Tabs? >:[

I was looking up some drum tabs, intending to learn a song or two. However, every site I went to had "sorry, but some douche-bag is taking legal action against us for copyright infringement". Wtf? Me = pissed off.

Here's the full story if anyone's interested:

    Thoughts?

Whoa. Thats crap. That will be savage for people now. Tabs in shops cost a fair bit, and you can get them free of the internet. Oh well, i don't mind for 1 reasons.
    1. I dont play any instrument
The main thing that is most anoying is, that it will push people to use other methods now such as bit torrent and limewire. Therfore i think it is a bad move, it is basically making people use these methods.

i do not encourage these other methods, i was just showing what will happen and that it is a stupid decision.

I've been able to read music since I was 5, so I learn piano and guitar the old fashioned way which means it doesn't really effect me.

It'll be total bullshit for people who can't read music though. The case doesn't make much sense though. From another perspective not related to the story, they'd be saying if you cover a recorded song, you need to charge money for it? Because if you don't, people can get it for free? But related to the story, I see nothing wrong about tabbing music you hear. I (and my old guitar teacher for that matter) have put several tabs on the internet by listening to the songs. They're virtually saying your opinion is wrong. My tab is nothing more than my opinion on what the notes in the song are.

Yeah, tabs are now illegal in America...

However, http://www.ultimate-guitar.com is not based in America so they are free to allow tabs.

Also, if you'll notice that news story is old...2-years-old, actually.

Want a sig like the one above? I am taking requests in my thread here...
