    Sorry...

If I were you, I'd try Dream Theater. I know it's a bit biased because they're my favorite band, but they do rock pretty hard. They're progressive metal, and there is no screamo or emo vocals, but there ARE operatic vocals, unless that turns you off.

Their myspace. I'd give Forsaken, Peruvian Skies, Lie, and The Dark Eternal Night a try.

They also just released a "greatest hits" CD (DT's Greatest Hit and 21 Other Pretty Cool Songs) which would be perfect for a beginner to DT. It has 2 CDs, one based on heavier songs, and the other more melodic. So definitely give them a shot.

Want a sig like the one above? I am taking requests in my thread here...

Forty Foot Echo, Alter Bridge, Staind, Finger Eleven, Thrice (go for the older stuff for a heavier sound, would definately recommend their album artist in the ambulance), Breaking Benjamin, Funeral For A Friend (don't get casually dressed and deep in conversation, has a lot of screaming in it, I'd recommend hours, the amount of screaming is minimal), Chevelle, Bad Religion, Anberlin (Runaways), Egypt Central, Story Of The Year, SR-71, Bush, Filter, Ignite, Rise Against, Papa Roach, Reggie & The Full Effect, Seether, Shinedown, Gratitude, Crossfade aaaaand... Zebrahead. Those are the bands that come to mind lol. If you don't like any of them, blame yourself for describing your music taste inaccurately
