Prayer of the Refugee by Rise Against

I've been listening to this song quite a bit in the last day because I'm learning the lyrics for a talent show they want me to sing in for their band. As well as play the bass for them because they don't have anyone who plays the bass. Anyway what are your opinions of the song?

I can totally play that song on drums... badly, lol. I love it, the sudden tempo changes are awesome. The lyrics make you feel good about yourself too, independent and stuff.

xD Nice. I have been practicing the bass part and I've gotten pretty good at it. The sudden tempo changes kind of confuse me when singing though. I'm starting to get used to it though. xD How good are you at drums in general?

So you'll play bass and sing at the same time?
Shouldn't be that hard, basline is simple as shit.

Yeah, I know. Normally I play guitar and sing but I play bass as well. And There is more of a chance that I'm going to screw up playing guitar and singing than playing bass and singing.

Normally, it's harder to play bass while singing than playing guitar while singing.
But it depends which song you play.

Why would you say that? Bass is normally easier than Guitar.

Because Bassline can get so irregular while the guitar follow a patern.
For example, the bassline for Stairway to heaven is harder to memorize than most of the guitar parts, because even when the guitar chords repeats itself, the bassline doesn't. And playing an instrument that doesn't follow a patern while singing at the same time isn't easy. But only good bassist plays like that. You're lucky that Prayer for the refugee has a shitty bassline.
