    Re: Daft punk?

I can thank Daft Punk for ruining/enhancing my life COMPLETELY!!

    Here's my story:

One day, back in 2004, I was scrounging through some old, useless movies on youtube. Strangely enough, fate lead me to a linerider movie. I watched this movie in awe, but it was not the LR track i was engrossed in, it was the music in the background. Some kind of techno, but so fantastically mind boggling that i could not get it out of my head. I spent a very long time searching for this song. Until one lucky day, where i found it! DAFT PUNK - AERODYNAMIC!

I loved this song soooo much that i put it on my iPod and listened to it 24/7 on a continuous loop. Of course, this soon became tiring so i searched for more of this style of music. I came across Daft Punk's albums: 'Discovery', 'Human After all' and 'Homework'. I FUKKIN LOVED THEM!!!!! ESPECIALLY 'SOMETHING ABOUT US', 'HUMAN AFTER ALL', 'TECHNOLOGIC', 'MUSIQUE', 'HBFS' AND 'AROUND THE WORLD'!!! And pretty soon, this alternative techno (almost a cross between trip-hop and DnB) soon became the one and only style of music I listened to.

But even I - Daft Punk's greatest fan ever - soon became tired of these songs. So began searching for something Harder, better, faster and stronger. I lead myself to a fairly new genre called 'Hardstyle'. It was love at first sight. And now, it is hardstyle all that i listen to. (I reccommend Showtek, Headhunterz and citizen for hardstyle)

And funily enough...to this day, I still get a kick out of Daft Punk's epic song: Aerodynamic.

    THE END

Awesome band. Everyone knows that. But Alive 2007 is definitely their best. The only ones I don't have is Daft Club, and Alive 1997. :c

    Re: Daft punk?

My favourite album of theirs is discovery, I love nearly every song in there.

I knew Daft Punk existed for a while back, when I saw One More Time on Video Hits Australia. I didn't hear much about them until Kanye West released "Stronger", which is one of my favourite songs of all time. After looking on Youtube and seeing so many complaints about how Kanye apparently "ripped off" Daft Punk (which wasn't the case, he had permission and DP were even the ones that remixed the robotic voice into the song) I decided to check out the original: Harder Better Faster Stronger.

At first I wasn't really a fan of it...it seemed too quirky for my taste. Eventually though I grew to like it and I realised that the music video I was watching was a part of a movie: Interstella 5555. I found a playlist showing all the parts of the movie, starting with One More Time, and I watched the entire film, enjoying every song on the way.

And now I am still a fan of Daft Punk, Aerodynamic and Voyager are my ringtones, and I'm even listening to Discovery now as I type.

    Okay, my favourite DP songs:

    1. HBFS (But I don't mind their remix in Kanye West's "Stronger", I think it's pretty good)
    2. Aerodynamic
    3. HBFS mixed with Around the World-Alive 2007
    4. Something About Us
    5. One More Time mixed with Aerodynamic-Alive 2007
    6. Voyager
    7. Around the World (Repetitive..but catchy)
    8. Crescendolls
    9. One More Time
    10. Digital Love

I've watched Interstella 5555! Octave ftw!

Can't wait till their next album though.

One of my favourite bands EVER, I love every song on Discovery and Homework, and I have both the records on vinyl, which were really pricey at the time, which shows my love for them.
    AND:
Seen them live 2 times :P

They're an ok band, but i have to say quite alot of their songs seem to be really repetative and it gets annoying after awhile. But i like some of their songs more then others.
