    FL Studio 8/Hardstyle tutorial - I UPDATED

    Now, I'm here to tell you how to make a simple Hardstyle/ Hardcore type song in FL Studio. Some parts may be a little hard to understand, so bear with me here.

    So, we start off with the VST, Pro-53. Here is the legal link where you can get the free trial.
    http://www.native-instruments.com/in...7a5f4f086fda66

    The dl link will be e-mailed to you.

    Now when your download is finished open up your FL Studio. It will most likely look like this.
    [tn=700:2jid73vw]http://pimp.darkdemon.org/12430/1234303368.png[/tn:2jid73vw]

    Now, right click on any of the buttons And scroll over Insert.
    [tn=700:2jid73vw]http://pimp.darkdemon.org/12430/1234303471.png[/tn:2jid73vw]

    Then go up to the option "More" at the top of that list and scroll down to pick "Pro-53".
    [tn=700:2jid73vw]http://pimp.darkdemon.org/12430/1234303578.png[/tn:2jid73vw]

    Now, you should see the Plugin in its default state.
    [tn=700:2jid73vw]http://pimp.darkdemon.org/12430/1234303649.png[/tn:2jid73vw]

    Go to the presets and pick the "Mega Dance" Preset. This is what we are going to use for a synthline.
    [tn=700:2jid73vw]http://pimp.darkdemon.org/12430/1234303731.png[/tn:2jid73vw]

    Now, lets manipulate it a little bit to make it sound better. Take a look at the "Glide" knob and crank it all the way to the left, then turn the "Voices" up to 32, and last you must turn the "Analog" knob ALMOST all the way to the right.
    [tn=700:2jid73vw]http://pimp.darkdemon.org/12430/1234303866.png[/tn:2jid73vw]

    Now test it out a bit. It should sound like a pretty nice Hardstyle lead!

    Next, we must make a kick that suits Hardstyle. So, select a different channel and lets begin.

    Pick a kick thats sort of a "tail" and drag it onto the step sequencer Twice. I'm using one I got from a Hardstyle pack I downloaded (PM for the link).

    Now, take one of the kicks and tick the "Normalize" and "Reverse" boxes, then crank the "Out" knob until you get only the "tail" of the kick.
    [tn=700:2jid73vw]http://pimp.darkdemon.org/12430/1234304279.png[/tn:2jid73vw]

    Now, place the normal Kick in a 4 beat pattern and the "tail" right behind each Kick like so.
    [tn=700:2jid73vw]http://pimp.darkdemon.org/12430/1234304450.png[/tn:2jid73vw]

    And it should sound like a pretty nice Nu-Style Kick!

    As for the the other elements, you need a good Crash cymbal sound, and maybe a clap sound

    As for the Crash, place it every four beats like the kick. For the clap, place it like so in the picture below.
    [tn=700:2jid73vw]http://pimp.darkdemon.org/12430/1234304683.png[/tn:2jid73vw]

    And if you put it all together in the playlist, you should get a nice Hardstyle beat like so!
    http://pimp.darkdemon.org/12430/1234304822.wav

    UPDDATE2
    Now, onto making a basic old skool Hardstyle beat, that ones that are actually hard. For this, you need the legendary Hardkick10 wav file. http://www12.zippyshare.com/v/69843501/file.html

    Right now, I can't show pics so pay close attention. Put that drum in a 4 beat pattern and crank up the volume. Find a very punchy drum sound, there are lot of packs that have punchy drums you can use to layer the Hardkick10 with.

    After you have done so, link each drum into a seperate mixer and do the following to them. Give them both a Soundgoodizer and put it on preset "A" and crank it all the way. For the punch, put a Maximus and put the preset "Punchy Drums 2" to bring out the punch. And to add A bit more punch, put a Fruity Parametric on it and put the preset "Bassdrum Punch".

    For the HardKick10, put a Maximus and the preset "Slight Warmness 2" and a Parametric with "Sub-Boost" on it.

    Hope it Helped! I'll be updating it time to time. Tell me if I made any mistakes.

    Good tutorial.

    Might help some new people getting into hardstyle music.

    So you're teaching people how to use preset music and edit it in the same way you do?

    It's a fine tutorial for what it's showing and it's put together nicely, it's just that I don't see how many people could use this.

    Wow. No offense, but this is terrible. You can't teach someone how to write music. It's just something that happens. And yeah, the result was bad too. Sorry.

    I'm with matt. All it was, was a plug in and basic beat structure. There was no mixing involved. Even mixing should be included in a simple tutorial.
