Robot Wars, BattleBots and any other FR program :]

    3-2-1 ACTIVATE!
The box is locked, the lights are on, it's robot fightin' time!

You just HAVE to love these programs, shame RW ended, and even though BB is still going, it hasn't been televised since '03

What's your favourite fighting robot? Favourite match?

I used to love Chaos 2 on the English version of Robot Wars, and how it completely pwned every other robot there.
I still have a load of signatures from teams like Hypno Disc and Chaos 2, when they came and did a display at a local school.
I'm also pretty sure that the robot 101 was made in my hometown.

Awesome, Chaos 2 was all the talk for about 3 years, so I thought it was great. But, it's just a regular flipper now that I look back.

I loved watching Tornado and Storm II. Terrorhurtz was also very entertaining.

I used to love Robot Wars, although I don't know what you guys are on about. I remember robots like 'Panic Attack', and 'Razor' being the better ones.

Storm II and Terrorhurtz were from the 6th and 7th series, Panic Attack and Razer are Legendary though, especially Razer, probably the best known robot out there, along with Biohazard.

Oh yeah, I remember Razer, but I think that Chaos 2 and Hypno-Disc were from earlier series, they were pretty much unbeatable.

Hypnodisc was way ahead of it's time, that's why it did well. In the latter series' the Rose guys just, couldn't cut it!

    :3

And Chaos 2 was outdated too, after series 5.

But RAZER *gasp*, having 9 tons of crushing power on a dot, is destructive, whatever the series.

Yeah, as soon as I see/hear the words "Robot Wars" I automatically thought of Chaos 2 and Hypno-Disc. But now I remember that massive "boss" robot, that was like the referee or something and completely owned anything that tried to beat it.

You mean Sir Killalot? Or Dead Metal? Sgt Bash? Shunt? Growler? MR -fucking- PSYCHO?!!?

Dang I love this shit, I'm building my own combot at the moment, s'called "Relentless".

Main feature is sheer, awesome pushing power and strengh. It's a featherweight (meaning, the weight limit is 13.6kg), but nevertheless, 14 kilos, coming at you at 20mph, with a 6 inch hardened steel spike on the back, hurts.

Anyone else even CONSIDERED building anything?

Just watched a few fights on youtube just then. I never did understand why Hypnodisc always had its back to the opponent...

Dreamt of building one when I was younger. I think I even tried to design one. Yeah, a thin Hypnodisc-style blade at the front, with a Chaos 2 flipper at the back. Massive metal spikes sticking out of all the wheels XD

Oh, and it was definitely Sir Killalot that I was talking about before.
