Three Days Grace, AFI, and Billy Talent

Three Days Grace, AFI, and Billy Talent all released new albums recently, and I finally got around to listening to all of em. I will start with Three Days Grace new one:

fucking cool album art

The album is pretty damn good, they changed up their sound just a bit, but it's still classic Three Days Grace. I really, really like this band. They combine a nice heavy feel and a cool calm sound really well. And by that I mean they have a range of sounds on their albums. I tend to like their heavier songs, but one on this album really stuck on me. I have listened to it like nine times today. The rest of the album is good, too. Check out Break, Bitter Taste, and World So Cold. All great songs, in my opinion.

I give this album 3.5 out of 5

here is the song

I was a huge fan of AFI a few years back, probably around 05-06. I really got into them back when they released December Underground, with the Miss Murder single, back in 06. Though it seemed they conformed to all that emo shit that was about back then, and left their punk-ish roots. But, this album is a great mix between the two in my opinion. They really have their own style, and sound. It's more-or-less Alternative, but it has influences of Punk and Pop.

I've always liked Billy Talent, but this album made me fall in love with them. They changed up their sound, and seem to have even gotten a bit better. They have such an original sound, I'm not really sure what to call it. I like to think it has some Punk roots, because of the instrumental style and vocal style. That's another thing I like about em, their vocals. I love the lead singers range, and how high his voice is. It's very refreshing in this genre nowadays. I would say this is probably their best album, as I said it seems they've improved. The vocals are really clean, but still have a strong sound, there are some nice, slick guitar solos. I'd recommend this album to anyone who likes Billy Talent, or rock.

So yeah, tell me what you thought about these albums, or just one, or two, whatever. Did you like em? Love em? Or fucking hate em?

Cool reviews, never been a fan of Billy Telents singer, which kind of just put me off them completely. I'm guessing you mean a fire inside? (wiki'd it) never heard of them to be honest, could be a possible check out. 3 days grace, had their new album on my MP3 all day at school yesterday, must admit it's grown on me but some of the songs got boring mighty fast.
Depends on the mood I'm in to weather I want to listen to it or not. But yeah, decent come back from them. Enjoyed a good hand full of the songs on there.

Yup, AFI is A Fire Inside. Check out their album 'Sing The Sorrow' if you like the song I linked too, it's their best album in my opinion. It's their older stuff, too. Probably around 02 or so, it's some good shit.

Re: Three Days Grace, AFI, and Billy Talent

I almost always hear Rusted From the Rain on my local rock station. I do like Billy Talent's music, though. I really haven't heard any other songs from the new album though, I probably should, from what I've heard from Rusted, it should be some good stuff.

3 Days Grace, well, I do like their stuff, but I wouldn't look up any songs from them or buy an album of theirs. That song sounded pretty good though, so I may just listen to a couple songs from them if I hear something that I think is a 'must-listen-to' song from them.

My opinion on AFI is a really bad one, as the only real song I could ever stand from them was Miss Murder, so I wasn't really looking to any albums or anything from them. So yeah, I'll just leave AFI at that :P

Off-topic too, but Alice in Chains is also releasing a new album tomorrow as well.
Stripes would be good camouflage, if tigers weren't bright orange.

Great artists all 3 of them.
In list of goodness tho I'd go with
Billy Talent
Three Days Grace
AFI

Not so much a huge fan of AFI. They have there good songs once and a while. Other then not. Not really.

Three Days Grace will always be one of my favourite bands. Adam Gontier is an amzing singer in my opinion. I'll be buying this new album for sure. I'm not such a big fan of the other two. I mean, I like their music, but they will never be my favourite bands.
