    I, Eleventh Octave

I am a Drum N Bass DJ who is also learning to do a bit of Electro (hopefully to make a new beat in the near future).

This forum seemed the most appropriate to post this in, so yeah.

My work can be found at http://krellyn.newgrounds.com.

Tell me what you guys all think, how I can improve (for those who REALLY love the style), and just general C&C.

    Cheers.

EDIT: I have made a new song: A Great Day In The Mainframe. Check it out~

    Re: I, Eleventh Octave

Firstly, I listened to "Over Again", and it's fairly good. However, the drum beat's a bit repetitive, and the lead is a bit hard to hear over the rest of the song, because it's a bit too quiet and muddy at the same time. Also, don't go too crazy on the automation in terms of volume. Don't keep bringing it up and down, just use it for crescendos/decrescendos, not "waves".

Also, I recommend you get some more VSTs (more samples) if you can. They'll add more of a flare to your music.

    _______

Now I've heard "Keeping 170, and a thing that I think is missing is a hat. Just put an open hat in between every kick and snare, and that should fill in some gaps. The tune was great though, in my opinion. Keep it up.

So from what you can see, I'm not the best at Techno / Electro. I totally agree, but man I want to improve at that. Thanks for the feedback~

As far as plug-ins are concerned, if you noticed in all my songs, I always use Sytrus and WASP for my leads hahaha. DEFAULTS ~<3.

But yeah, thanks for the feed, I will work on improving that a bit.

Sytrus and WASP are alright, I even made a song completely with Sytrus, and nothing else, but the drum sample defaults are actually what I think brought my song (and yours as well) down. I'm still yet to find a good drum VST, but I'm working on it :P

I really like A Great Day In The Mainframe.
    Its chill.

That, and To Conquer It All, are both epic.
    others.. not as much.

Its all kinda repetitive, too much I might say..
    But they sound awesome (:

btw I downloaded those 2 ^^ for iTunes

    - I used FL Studio 7, as mentioned in my comments on the songs.
    - Yes, it is for Windows.
    - No, it is not free.

But hey, thanks a lot for the comments~
