    Instrumentals

Lately I've really been getting into music without lyrics.
I actually didn't really notice it till now, but I'm starting to completely shy away from music with vocals.

    Making my tastes progressively instrumental?
    Music like this:

    [youtube:1nt2mgeo]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_dglC0m1bE[/youtube:1nt2mgeo]

    [youtube:1nt2mgeo]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3EGJuxe2c0M[/youtube:1nt2mgeo]

    [youtube:1nt2mgeo]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64liF2VuLxI[/youtube:1nt2mgeo]

Inf, Ratatat, RJD2, Glitch Mob, etc.
Anybody else listen to this type of music? Thoughts?

I feel much less distracted as this music calms me down, I can enjoy and get work done at the same time.
Also it's very chill and fantastic for mellow parties and hangouts.

    Re: Instrumentals

I absolutely love instrumental music. Ratatat is great, and I can't get enough of The Glitch Mob's album. I'm currently biggest into instrumental post-rock, groups like If These Trees Could Talk, God is an Astronaut, Explosions in the Sky, etc.

    Re: Instrumentals

I've always appreciated instrumental music a lot more. Vocals fill a huge gap in music and a lot of tracks would sound out of place and/or boring without them. When there aren't vocals to let your mind attach to, you focus a lot more on the music and it's production value. That to me is more important than vocals.

    Re: Instrumentals

I rarely pay attention to lyrics anyways, so I prefer instrumental.

These are some of the bands I listen to.
