It's a Norweigen film too, so hopefully won't suffer from Americanitus.

    Re: THE TROLL HUNTER

I don't know how this will turn out. I mean, it looks like a pretty low budget movie and I don't know if that's a good or bad thing. I mean, if they made it as some suspenseful movie where you never/rarely see the monsters it could work out great if it has good acting, directing and everything that doesn't require lots of money. But looking at the trailer, it seems like there will be quite a bit of CG action stuff and I don't know if that's a good idea. I would hate for the movie to be good for the first half and then have it fall apart once any sort of action happens due to terrible low budget animation breaking the realism or something. Some of the stuff in the trailer looks kind of questionable to me already in terms of realism and they probably picked out the best looking stuff for it.

Don't get me wrong, it's a cool idea and it looks pretty nice overall. I'm just not sure how it will pan out.

Oh fuck, I didn't notice it already came out. Picto's post made me think it hadn't for some reason but I guess the whole 2010 thing in the Youtube description could have gave it away. Now I feel obligated to watch it.

I heard about this not too long ago and I can honestly say it doesn't look that bad.

    Fucking yes!

I saw the trailer a while back. I was looking for movies along the lines of "Troll 2" and "Birdemic", and I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. I can't wait to see it.

Also, it comes out August 23rd in the US.

Aye, which would explain the low ratings/low revenue so far I'm guessing. Not sure if it's going to be dubbed in English for the worldwide release, but at the moment you can find it in Norweigen (subbed in English).
