    hip-hop share thread

    hopefully this goes somewhere

just share some of your favorite hip-hop songs that you think not many people have heard (there's no fucking need to share Love the Way You Lie aka herp derp anthem by Eminem, or Lil Wayne's a milli, etc.) with a link to a youtube song; or if a free mixtape post the fucken download

    this song is fucking baller action;

Samurai, megaton, with force equivalent to atom bombs,
I raise the mic like swords and bombs of Galvatron,
Reflect the light stream of sunbeams,
Aim at a distant planet, too disturbingly,
Hear the stars scream, "Firecrack the apparatus!"
Black the skies like laser beams, I'm Prime like Optimus
Who wanna test the deadly force I'm always hostile with?
I colonize my words and verbs on the lands of Unicron,
    As I'm droppin' Firebombz

    wow holy shit balls

you've probably Wu-Tang's C.R.E.A.M. from 36 Chambers - this song is C.R.E.A.M. mashed over a Fugazi song, a post hardcore band whatever the fuck that means

    shit's cash

great production fuckawesome spitting, great style combo

alright you may have heard this one as Kendrick Lamar had a great year, this song is my favorite from his much liked LP released in 2011

    one of my favorite hip-hop song's of all time, hands down;

Strapping down the mic, kamikaze rock the mic
Suicide, stage dive, it's gonna be a live night
Now just to be accurate, label me immaculate
Short fuse like monagues fuel capulets
    Elaborate labyrinth, lavish pimp pattering
Rip, rude to ravishing, cabbage scavenging
From word babbling, babbling brook and words travelling
Like Miles Tattling, I'm kind of partial to battling
Haven't you heard, you got beef from a so cattle then
Hit the sunset saddling, rap Bronco
Riding over tracks, Lone Ranger and Tanto

if you don't have a boner now you don't know shit about music

    alright guys post some shit!

I enjoyed 'Sleep rules everything around me' very much. Kind of odd, seeing as I don't usually listen to that genre.

Nice shit Crono, especially the first song.

Astronautalis and Input, I love this.

Astronautalis straight up. Posting live version because it's so much fucking better.

And Phrase is kind of cheesy but I enjoy him.

Murs is the shit right here.

Then there's Slug and all that jazz. Even fucking Hyjak N Torcha are pretty fucking good aussie hiphop. Astronautalis's freestyles are the best i've ever heard.

EDIT: Fuck it I'll post one more song.

[center:1jsw2v72]My Most awesomest song ever. Ill rhymes man.[/center:1jsw2v72]
    [spoiler:1jsw2v72][center:1jsw2v72][Verse 1-Rakim]
I'm from the home of a million legends and trend settin'
A lot of footsteps to follow, I been steppin'
Mind stressin', tryin' to find a record crime shreddin'
Time precious, I ain't had rest since nine-eleven
I live fast, hustle like today is my last
I get cash, the struggle's like a day on the Ave.
Crack bein' raw, gats squeezin off
Manhattan squeezin' off, from cats who tease with war
The eve of the Apocalypse, evil keep movin' politics
Every block is at risk, the metropolitan metropolis.
The opposite of Liza Minelli and Frank Sinatra
Alicia Keys, Nas and Ra, the gangsta's opera
So New York City walk with me, talk gritty
It's up to us New York, it's our city
Here the man come with the anthem, hands up
It's time, the thrill is back New York, let's stand up

    [Verse 2, Nas]
Yeah, and can we have another moment of silence?
For brothers who died from black-on-black violence
From here to the Dark Continent were rebels sell diamonds
To clients all over the world, got little Black girls dyin'
And can we please pour some more liquors?
For Will, Bokeem, Bar, Pappy -- my niggaz
Here's another Warrior Song from Nasty and Quan
It's to him I pass the baton to carry this on
Street's Disciple, salute to those who's gone with bullets
And I promise through rhymin' Quan gon' rep his life to the fullest
And can we please have a moment of truth?
For soldiers and troops away with helmets and boots
And families back home who pray they make it home safe
Hopin' that they don't get hit with a stray or missiles
This is just a moment to let you all know that we miss you
    Mommy I'm still here,

    [Verse 3-Tupac]

I want money in large amounts
My garage full of cars that bounce
Movin' my tapes in major ways
    Cause every dollar counts
    Bustas is jealous
And half these nigas is punks
They runnin' off at the mouth
'Till I fill up with my pump
    They jump
    My automatic keep 'em weary
While you fronting like you Billy bad ass
    Nigga you scary
I been knowing you for years
    We was high school peers
    In Junior High
    I was itchin' to kill
And you was ready to die
    While you bullshitting
Niggas was dying and catching cases
Busting my automatics at motherfuckers in foreign places
    Leaving no trace
They see my face and then they buried
Them bitches die in a hurry
    Still I ride
    I'm never worried
    Mr. Makaveli
Tell me to ride and I'ma ride
Pick my enemies out the crowd
    And muthafuckas die
It's not the way I wanna live
    My nigga
    It's how it is
    Homie got into a fight
Last night they killed his kids,
    in this life i lead.[/center:1jsw2v72][/spoiler:1jsw2v72]

This is the current project of Butterfly from Digible Planets. Really trippy experimental hip-hop. Butterfly's flow is still perfection, and getting better.

    Full streaming album is here.

Hobo yelling, etc. etc. Brilliant experimental, noisy hip-hop.

If you don't want to see anything else, I'll post a spoiler with some instrumental shit and some more stuff with lyrics.

Obligatory Nujabes post -- kind of more unknown than Aruarian Dance or Flowers, but whatever.

Hyper similar to Nujabes and DJ Okiwari. Brilliant shit anyways.

I just fucking love Madlib. That's why I'm posting this.

Another obligatory post -- this time with J Dee. Fucking legend.

^ Streaming EP by a pretty cool guy.

I'm done. Maybe I'll be back to monitor this thread. I don't listen to enough hip-hop.[/spoiler:2xuekz4f]

I'm not much into hip-hop, and i'm a lot more 'mainstream' then a lot of you seem to be (IDK about Earl Sweatshirt though, anything to do with Odd Future is somewhat known). Regardless, I thought I'd post a one or two songs by artists I enjoy.

Another sub-group from the Odd Future crew, I honestly enjoy most of MellowHype's stuff, but this song is almost always stuck in my head. It's honestly REALLY well made.

Anyone who knows me knows I'd have to post The Roots. I never really heard of them until How I Got Over, which was REALLY good, and then I listen to their older stuff and it's just as good if not better. Granted, I prefer a live version of this song I found on Grooveshark (I heard it first so that's probably why, but also feel it feels more powerful- one example I can give is the 'Hot movement' part is a bit slower and more shouted, so it just feels more natural to me.) Regardless, this song is really good either way.

Another Roots song. I enjoy the album version of the song a lot more then I do The Next Movement. It's got an enjoyable beat and it's just enjoyable lyrically and rhythmically as well. I feel The Roots should just be more well known honestly, and I wish Black Thought got more respect then he has now, because he deserves it IMO.
Stripes would be good camouflage, if tigers weren't bright orange.
The turtle is one part fortress, one part... mobile home.
    I love honey, but bees..
emanating fire really cuts down on cozy nest options.
