    In Flames

Not had a topic about them in a while and I think now is a good time to express just how damn amazing this song is:

    Re: In Flames

When In Flames released the album Sounds of a Playground Fading, that was almost all that I listened to for nearly a straight week. They're a very unique band with a sound that I really like.

One of the In Flames songs I've been listening to more recently.

Boring drumming ugh. The breakdown is very slow and nice but rather corny when his voice kicks back in. Nice to hear some violin but not enough to save this song from the rest of it's issues. 4:50 and beyond is when the song just goes even more downhill in my opinion.

    AYE, IN FLAMES

I don't reaaaally like A Sense of Purpose and up, but their melo-death stuff was good, pretty influential too, and A Soundtrack To Your Escape is absolutely BRILLIANT. To this day, it is still a nearly flawless album imo, the perfect blend of electronic soundscapes and metal.

I have never heard melodic electronic-ish metal pulled off this beautifully before, though some of Dir En Grey's stuff could be somewhat comparable.
