Not to bad for your first, but you need borders, focal points, and light sources, plus effects.

    1. Borders
Mak new layer, hit ctrl + A, then go Edit>stroke>about 3 or so pixels.

    2. Focal point.
Try sharpening up the render some, to bring more detail to it. ctrl+shift+N = New layer>Image>Apply Image>OK>Filter>Sharpen>Sharpen, then erase everything except the render.

    3. Light sources.
Either make a new layer, apply image, then go to filter>Render>Lighting effects, I think, and mess around with that, or use a white brush on a new layer to make a spot of light.

    4. Effects
Pretty much something you are going to have to learn, it might take a little while, but try checking out some tutorials.

Hope to see more stuff from you in the future.

Surprisingly good for a beginner. You already know how to smudge stuff half-decently, unless my eyes decieve me. First one is too boring, no effects in it. Second one has too much negative space on the left, but the render looks really nice. The third one's lighting is great on the render, but it kills the area to the left. Keep it up.

That is nice, too much open space though, but good otherwise .
I don't see enough of an effect in there, I think we have another Unintelligilbe..

That's really nice. The render could be blended in more though, because it has that really weird, white around it, good effect in the back though.
