    Streak's GIMP Thread

    Yes, I did throw in several filters and stuff to make what I thought looked cool.

    These are very basic and need more colour to them except for the Legion one. The text on that one is pretty bad too.

    On the top one. The text is bad. It's difficult to read and the color doesn't fit.
    As well, it's too basic. It just looks like an image with the surroundings blacked out.

    The second one is okay, I see you tried textography. But the drop shadow you have on it was cut off sharp on the left side. To avoid that, I suggest creating a new layer above the text to be blurred and merge it down to increase the borders of the layer. Then blur it. I would also use the 'alpha to selection' or 'text to selection' to make the text a gradient instead of a solid grey. This gives it a bit more metallic look.
