Gifgiff: Squigs (DDC5 entry)
My sad and very moving story (kind of):
My family was going to Oregon for vacation a week ago.. And on the way up there, our car got robbed at a motel while we were sleeping. I lost my laptop, which had ALL of my flash animations on it, and flash.
So now, not having flash until I get a new laptop, I'm using pivot to exert my animation needs. Also, I hope I'm posting these in the right place.
I got a new laptop and flash back, so everythings ok now. No more tablet however.
These are my pivots, starting with the newest, and working down through time.
As new as the DDC5: http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h215/ ... maller.gif
My DDC5 entry. Hooray for swirly curls!

Fraz made an extremely cool/cute lima being .stk, so I had to animate it doing something, and whats better than boinging pointlessly?

Kind of old, and I have no idea why I didn't think too highly of it when I made it.

That thing I worked on a while ago. Don't expect it to be finished.

Its the same animation as below, I just changed the ending. I like the new ending more, but I still don't think its that good...
Not too sure about the bouncing circles at the end, but what the hey, the rest is good.

I've always had an interest in ball machines. It turns out they're really fun to animate, too. Enjoy the short ball machine I made today.

Ah, that felt good. Though I had some trouble deciding whether the framerate should be fast or not. Some parts of it look good slow, and other parts look better fast. I picked fast.

Mm.. I'm kind of going through one of those periods where you CAN'T ANIMATE WORTH BEANS... But this has happened loads of times. I might take a short break from animating, but I don't think so. At least not from flash...

Just this took probably a little less than an hour/half an hour to do. I can't imagine how long it takes to do a complicated effect..

"On this day in 2006, Gifgiff discovers that it is very hard to make a stickman shrug in pivot"

I like this one. Maybe some of the movements are kinda big, but it has power and weight.

It shows my love of twixes.. Aww man the only twix I got for halloween was one lousy bite sized one. And then my sister goes and gets this HUGE double twix bar... Grr. (oh, I need to know how to attach .piv files, because the frame rate might be screwed up on slower computers, so if any one would be kind enough to share that knowledge with me, I'd be thankful)

That one I made just yesterday. Whatever you do, do NOT pay attention to his right arm. Its got.. problems.

Experementing with a (very) simple effect. I don't really understand effects too well, I guess.
a car.. What else can I say?
http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h215/ ... ouuuuu.gif (dead)
Oh poo!! Augh! I can't believe I did that! I accidentally deleted it from my photobucket thing thinking it was somethin else.. And I don't have a backup of it as it was on my laptop when it got stolen! Crud!

My second pivot
http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h215/ ... Ypiv-1.gif
As you probably are going to complain about it, I didn't make my own sticks for any of these except for the itconfusesyooouuuuu one and my second pivot. I have made my own, and they work fine, but.. I like to use the original stick it comes with. Uh, I don't know why. Go ahead and chew my head off for it. I probably deserve it.
Anywhoo, I hope you like them. I don't know when I'll get a new laptop. It could be next week, or after christmas, so I don't know how long I'm going to be making pivots. I will continue to make pivots after I get flash back, but a whole lot less of them.[/url]
Definatly intermediate. *Moved*. Great animations. Lovely style. Courtesy means when some one comments on an animation you've made you return the favor. You don't have to follow it.
awosme anims man
like the style
a very unique cross bewteen lf2 and choppy style
like to see a fight come from you soon
and you could be the next SA IMO
although dont move the gaps too big , pivot isnt as ruff as flash its very delicate practice wisely.
great animations, i can tel u liike defaults,
Wow, I can easily say I didn't expect so many replies so quickly.. I guess I underestemated the power of darkdemon forums.
As for already being intermediate, Wow, thank you! I didn't expect that so quickly.
And I dunno.. It seems very awekward to say this, but I don't really like to animate stickfights. Not my kind of thing.. I like to animate stickmen just.. Doing things. You'll see what I mean as I make more.
Thanks for all the comments! I'll be sure to try out new effects and backrounds in the future. I think I might post some of my flashes in the flash place sometime (maybe later today or tomorrow), so if you want to see them, go there.
I love your animations. theyre so simple and entertaining! great work.
Ok, that's it.
You're like, in my list of top ten(no, no, 5) animators.
I just love your animations so much! I also think it's wonderful you use defaults, you make them look so good!
Oh, and you don't animate fights...
I love that!!!
I hate violence.
I'd like to do a joint animation(in pivot) with you if I can.
Welcome to intermediates. Your animations definitley have the flashy style. I would reccommend getting some decent sticks. Move on from the default.
Read through this. Make a base stk for your animations and look at the tips for beginners. Even though you aren't a noob, those tips still help.

A joint, eh? Thats like a kind of two-person collab, right? Sure! I always need things to do.. And I run out of ideas constantly.

And, as for making my own sticks, I really like that tutorial you made. It cleared up a few questions I had about how you get proportions right. I'll probably use my own sticks, and switch them off with the default one when I feel like it. I don't know what it is about that default stick, but its just so much fun to work with.
