    Vanota's Animations - A New Beginning

Hi everyone. Glad to be a new member of the team here, and I'd like to share my animations with you here in the Beginners' Hall.

EDIT, 7-16-09. I've come back to Pivot after a long, long hiatus. It seems my original animations are now lost, as pivothost.org is dead. So I'm starting over! Here's a (short) offering for you. Seems to play slowly... I animated at 23 fps.

I found your animation pretty interesting. I liked it. You should work on your easing. And the stiffness. Read some tutorials. I would recommend Baha's tutorial: viewtopic.php?f=36&t=22662

    Re: Newbie!

It was quite good for a newbie but it could do with a bit of practice. Some of the movements were a bit off, and it could do with some easing, but otherwise, you have grasped pivot quite well. Good for you...

hi vanota, you have some pretty good ideas, thats very nice, i like the whole animation, but i suggest you to learn how to ease, its not easy you will get it with the practice, and its pretty nice for a third really, make sure you bend all joints in each frame, thats basic ok? great work, please show us more. low-med begginer.

    Re: Vanota's Animations

Wow dude, That was amazing for your third animation ever!
Still low beginner though, work on realism, running, walking (the easing was good on the ball test) but still work on easing in your animations too, uhhh Spacing (AT THE NEEDED TIMES ONLY) like big big movements.
Uhh thats pretty much all i have to give you.
Good luck, and happy animating, and welcome to Darkdemon
    Courtesy happily, returned.

Re: Vanota's Animations *NEW Man Falling

your animations are stiff most b/c you using default

    work on choppiness too

the easing with the ball was good

and the physics on the walling stick man was ok, but eh impact lacked and the animations was ruined b.c if the choppiness of the stick

just work on those two things

    courtesy?

How DO you paint with the colors of the wind?

    Curtesy?

Re: Vanota's Animations *NEW Man Falling

Your new falling one was good. You need to work on his movement when he hits the ground, because he moves too much and he looks like he is having a fit. But otherwise, you have made a lot of progress. Well done.
