    Re: What rank am I?

First of all, grats on winning the VIP comp !

Ok, I think that you are low beginner. This is because your animation was very choppy. To prevent choppyness, work mainly on easing to get the smooth flow. Also the effects weren't very good, nice attempt though. To me they seemed very jerky. Also I think to give your animation better quality, try making the stickfigures move to their opponent instead of just having them fade away. You should also be sure to move every joint possible each frame, this will also prevent choppyness.

    Keep up the effort!

(btw please don't give courtesy because my thread is pretty dead and it will get locked if you BUMP it.) thanks

    Re: What rank am I?

    Sorry Mate, Low begginer,

You need to ease your movements,
    Like this.
    | = 1 frame.

    |-|--|----|--|-|
So, start off slow, and then make your movements bigger, then at
The end of the movement, slow down.
Also, Try and move every joint every frame, it makes your animations
    Alot more realistic.
    May i suggest some tutorials?
    So yeah.
Just work on easing and stiffness.
    And you will probably improve.

    Keep On Trying!

    Lol Courtsy?

    Re: ApplicationX's Animation Thread!

Ok Animation 1: Beam Fight (this is going to be a little harsh) : I got bored , because you made a slight movement then a camera movement , it should have been spontaneous , like movement and camera pan while the guy is moving . It was lazy how you didn't add a walk , you should have done as this gives extra practice. And two people should move at the same time rather than just 1 guy moves then the other , they should move at the same time if necessary.

Animation 2: Short Fight: The camera movement was very nice , the movement of your characters should be spontaneous , because you did that thing you did in the last animation , the fight wasn't fluid , if you see what i mean. The text you signed the animation with was nice

Summary: Work on easing:/---/--/-/ Each --- , counts how many frames you have before , the stop , each movement gets smaller and smaller until he stops

Fluidness: To solve this problem , move every joint (if possible) Unless this makes the movement unnecessary.

    Your Rank: ---Lb-/--Mb---hb--border interz (you= /)

Lb= Low beg Mb= Med beginner Hb= High beginner

Thats what I think your rank is , DD.org may disagree but i'm new(ish) here

Well , that is as best as i can describe it , my appoligies for repeated myself over and over again , and keep animating! If you keep going you will defenetly be good , just read tutorials and study animations in the interz section

    Bad sig.

Okay, I'm just going to tell you, STOP using effects.
Low/med beginner's should work on movements and fighting. No blood, beams, and all that other crap until your high beginner/low inter. Before you make another animation, read the beginner section in Baha's tutorial. Link: Click. After you've finished reading that (and doing everything he tells you), make animations again, but without so many effects, like beams and blood. However, blur is pretty easy if you know how, but otherwise, just work on movements. Eg for an anim u should do: make a simple square and a line, the line is your ground, and the square is your stickman's obstacle. Now, just make him walk toward the square, and make him somehow jump/climb over it. Now for your next animation, just put 2 squares on a line, and make the stickman climb over them. (the squares could be stacked, in this case.) Then, just keep adding more squares and obstacles, but don't make your screen bigger, make everything smaller. (1 block=100% size for everything, 2 block=same, 3 block=if it can fit on default screen.. 100%. Over 4=if it don't fit, make all the figures on the screen 80%, etc etc).
Courtesy? Link to my thread in my sig.
    (seriously, my hand really hurts.)
