Re: Ninja Stickman's thread of animations

For some reason the animation took about 10 minutes to load, and unfortunately it wasn't worth the wait, but it's not terrible. Here are some tips to improve:

Make each movement last more frames to reduce choppiness. For example, lets say a choppy walk cycle is four frames. To make it look less choppy, you would make it 6 or 8 frames.

Ease your movements. That means that each motion starts slow and speeds up and then slows down again. A visual representation of easing would be this:
    |-|-|--|----|------|----|--|-|-|
"-" represents how much you move the stick figure each frame, and "|" represents a frame.

Try to do short practice animations for a while until you get pretty good, and then try to do a longer animation like this with effects, etc.

This is a relatively ambitious animation for a beginner, but it's not great, so animate a lot until you get better. I see some potential here.

Low Beginner, your very stiff, and your movements arent so good. Also, the easing test wasnt really what i would called eased xD Retry that, and watch some tutorial videos and Pivs. they help alot =]
    Keep trying.
