    Im Seriously wanting Interz

Hey! Here is my thread on DarkDemon. Here is where I will post my clips. Please comment on them! Oh and also COURTESY!!!!!!!!!! check me out on youtube (copy to address) http://www.youtube.com/users/dapivotingpraymantis

Im Seriously wanting Interz, that way I'll still get bumped, but not as often and I don't have to make a video a day, just to get recognition!

Re: My First Animations On Dark Demon

Hey, welcome to DD DPM, enjoy yourself.

    First animation:

Nice and smooth, and I love the background, but try and move every joint a little in every frame. The back, head, neck, legs, feet and all. Especially your feet, on your second step he kind of stays on his toes even though his weight is backwards. The leading foot should also generally be pretty straight until it comes off the ground.
There's not much power in your punches either, I can see a small nod of the head but otherwise it seems pretty effortless. Try and go from leaning backwards to forwards.

    Second animation:

This needs a fair bit of work. It looks more like a jog than a run, and again, kind of effortless. It doesn't loop very well, but to be honest, I don't know how to loop either.
The best advice I can give is to watch a tutorial on running. In every animation you'll change it and develop your own style, and the pointers they give in the tutorials will help you a lot.

    Third animation:

I like this one, definetly shows the best of your best. Good job on the easing with the leg raise and the effort comes out in this one, you can tell that he puts oomph into the punch.
The black flashes are a little unnecessary, the leg snapping from being bent to stamping on the ground would pretty much have the same effect, but I think they were more because you were unsure of how to animate the ground breaking, right?
The dust needs a little more easing from rising to falling.
And I think the boulder could have used a touch of physics, even though it's only about 3 frames, it would have been good to have it start to fall.

Anyway, great job. Look forward to seeing you improve over time.

Very smooth, but work on stiffness (try to move a joint every frame if possible). Overall, maybe a high/med beginner? I'm no master at animating myself but I gave you my opinion...... Courtesy (when you comment on my animations or the person who is commenting on your animations)?

Med-high beg? Nope. I think the animations are a little stiff and uneased. It could use a bit of work.

    Low Beg----You--------Med Beg

    Others may think differently. :/

um looking at your animations- it was stiff, you need to ease more and work on physics more.

    TIP
try to move every joint in every frame, it is as simple as that

    low beginner------------l--med beginner

Thanks for the comments, they have been very good feedback and I am glad to hear that I am (according to most comments) med-high beginner. To the last person who commented (sorry can't remember your name) I almost always move every joint and yes you are right I do need to work on my physics it is my weakness at pivot.

Re: My First Animations On Dark Demon

your animations are stiff and a little un eased. i recoment watching a stiffness tutorial. An Alien has a great stiffness tutorial. Also, with the top one with the guy chopping, the foot kinda slides back out of place as it ends so work on your foot placement. Lastly, your movements of your feet stay the same, in other words, it looks as if the feet are tied in one position while walking.
