    No, you don't get moved up for how long you animate; it actually depends on your skill.
    Once the staff think you're worthy of a move-up, then you become an intermediate.
    Some people take more than a few years sometimes.

    As for the animations,

    3D Running:
    It's not really 3d as you said. It's pretty 'stop and go' with all the heavy spacing and pauses.
    Some joints and positions are pretty stiff in some parts of the animation.

    Default Man:
    That's a lot better than the 3D running.
    It too is a little 'stop and go' and it's also stiff in some places, but it's not too bad.
    I thought it was pretty cool when the stick moved back into the default position after he punched.
    Also, the blur trailing at the end was a nice touch.

    ok thanks dude, you have been a big help. when I said intermediate for a year I meant about how long for most people, although I give you a tremendous thank you for all the info you gave me. I will be sure to give you courtesy. (p.s. I already know you are a really good animator and got into ddc8 with the cool triangle people thanks again.

    Oh, on average? Maybe 1 1/2 years probably.

    Also, don't bother to give me courtesy, my thread's locked and I don't plan to update in a while. :P

    I see improvement. Nice job, movements were awkward but you were trying to do that probably. Ease just a little more I think, or start out with a smaller frame. Nice effects too. The only parts that were really stiff were the beginning, remember to move every joint in every frame. Overall I say med beg.

    Wow, your animations are pretty good. I noticed that it's pretty smooth but you still have some stiffness to work out. Remember, move EVERY joint if you can to eliminate the stiffness and use a higher fram rate with more frames to get rid of the stiffness of frame delay. But they are very nice for a begginner. Med-high begginner.
