    Re: SeventhDimension's Thread

Your movements could definitely use work with both poses and spacing, so I'd recommend checking out some tutorials around here and downloading some pivot files of the more experienced animators from the Pivot Animation Archive and see how they animate their stick figures. I won't go into detail until you post something a bit longer.

That being said, its nice to see you have the ambition to reach elite and that you are trying scenes with effects, backgrounds and that include themes like zombies. I think you should be extending what you animate though, all of these are really short - by having longer animations its more enjoyable for the watcher and makes it easier for them to give you a rank and constructive criticism.

If your looking for some more comments, feel free to also post your animation in the Beginners Chat/Showoff to get a few opinions on it. You'll will probably get more comments if you take the time to comment on other animators work. Best of luck with your journey to elite man

Take your time in the animation, When he went to pick up the spear he looked way too rushed, those parts should be eased as they would look in real life, ya know? just keep animating and working on your movements and youll improve

OK. The easiest thing you can work on right away, is foot placement.
The feet slide around the floor. While you animate, compare the frame your doing to the previous one and make sure the foot is in the exact same place, really simple to do.
The second thing to watch out for is jerkiness, you need to ease all the movements, if in one frame a leg - for example - changes direction, then straight away changes direction again, it will look jerky.
Third is stiffness, try and avoid ever having any part of your stick man being completely still (except when its dead) otherwise it looks unnatural.
Apart from that your anims are pretty good.
    Med Beginner.
