    OnionSkin

    Well, i've gotton the hang of animating without an onion skin, and its not too bad. Why do you need the onion skin or how did you learn to animate without onion skin? Me i dont know how..i Still havent got the full idea (have to edit the frames alot more) but im getting better. POST!

    I learnt to animate without onion skinning, by leaving a invisible point on the stickmans foot, on the one he isn't moving. So i know where to keep it.

    same, but that can get annoying.

    animating without onion skin is fine as long as there *is* some onion skin to show where his feet are.

    otherwise you have to click back and forth between 2 frames like 5 times just to make sure he doesnt slide all over the place

    You can just click the frames in sequence. If it looks alright, you're doing it fine. It's what I do anyway, saves a lot of time instead of making loads of .stks marking the last place the .stk was at. >.>

    It's possible to do it pretty well without onionskin, but I hate it :P
    That should be a feature in pivot 3/gifmagic. You can make a background with stks, then select them all and make them 'background' stks so they become transparent while you're working on the animation. Then once you export to .gif they go back to normal and everyone thinks you're cool because you used full BGs ^_^

    I just keep switching back and forth between frames to check how the .stk moves.

    with a few invisible points and doing motions so many fricin times you cant forget how to do it, it becomes simple

    Animating without onion skin is hard, but worthwile at times. I animated with it once and it sucked BALLS.
