    List of hosting sites

    Lots of new people complain about not being able to find an upload site. No longer.
    (Some sites are repeated, but that is because they are listed under each category they belong in, unless they are an all-rounder)

    How to get the link to an image.
    -Right click the image
    -Click "copy link location"
    -That will be the direct link to the image. You may now surround it with [img] tags or [tn] tags

    Still Images (GIF, BMP, PNG, JPEG):
    -http://www.uploadpod.com/
    Review(s):
    *****-There is no Limit for file size. If you make an account you get file management and what-not, but you don't have to.

    -http://www.iaza.com/
    They delete the picture after a few days.
    Review(s):
    *****- It uploads normally, the main attraction of the site is the many edit features, you can do pretty much everything with this, it's free, no account needed, the only bad thing is the layout lol.
    ****-When you go to the site, click load image. Browse and find your file, then click load image again. Then click the small version of your image, and finally Right click>Copy image location. no accounts needed or available.

    -http://imgur.com/
    Review(s):
    **** -Easy to use and just a general great image host. Gives you all types of links and stuff for forums and such.

    -http://www.tinypic.com
    Review(s):
    ****-Uploads Pictures and Videos, but takes quite a time. No account required and no size limit.

    -http://photobucket.com/
    Review(s):
    ****-Nice, but requires an account and asks for significant info when creating one.

    -http://www.deviantart.com/
    Review(s):
    ****- It is really good, and tons of free pictures. Although, you right click and copy and paste to get them. Or you can buy prints with those available.

    -http://imageshack.us/
    Review(s):
    *** -the thumbnails are hard to navigate around and it lags terribly. However, as Picto notes, it does keep images basically forever, making it good to fall back on as a secondary image host or good for those images you want to host safely.

    -http://www.droidz.org/share/
    Review(s):
    ***-It's very easy to use and has a wide variety of uploadable formats such as .gif, .bmp,.png, and .piv. Only downside is it requires a droidz.org forums account.

    Pivs:
    -http://pivotup.com/
    Review(s)
    *****-Darkdemon's endorsed hosting site. A very fast and simple uploader with no frills, 3 MB limit. No accounts supported, however. Also able to host .Gif, .Fla, .Styk and .Stykz files.

    SWF's/FLA's:

    Review(s)
    *****- Darkdemon's "Sister site", this extremely feature rich and easy to use uploader can upload all your .swfs easily. With folders to keep your files organized, a disk-space manager to manage your 200 MB, and an alert system, this is one of the best .swf uploaders out there.

    Review(s)
    *****-A 10 Meg limit, but that's a LOT for a SWF. Not only Flash files, but that's what most people use it for. no account is required, and you can choose public or Private upload. It takes about 3 seconds to upload your file, then shows it right there. Copy whats in the address bar and your done!

    -http://www.swfcabin.com/
    Hotlinking: No
    Comments:
    *****-No account is required and it takes about 5 seconds from browse to sharing. Some people complain they can't see any animations on this site however, so be careful.

    ****-It is really good, and tons of free pictures. Although, you right click and copy and paste to get them. Or you can buy prints with those available.

    *****-No account required, speedy simple upload. Extremely well done site, made the guy who did antiup and fwup.

    Reviews:
    *****-Easy hosting, but requires account. An overall limit of 100 megabytes.

    -http://www.mediafire.com/
    Reviews:
    *****-Tried it out to write this article and im glad i did. You can upload with or without a (free!) account. either way you get a main folder (though only reusable with an account, otherwise you must make a new one every time you upload a group of files). Can upload multiple files at once. Requires users to download your files however, so only really useful for things that MUST be downloaded (I.E. pivs, stks, etc.)

    ****-Not bad I use every now and then to host my .stykz files and many other files. You don't have to sign up, but if you do it provides an easier way to keep your files organized. No limits i believe. You can also set passwords on .piv files if you just want on specific person to download it.

    -http://imagehost.org/
    Reviews:
    ****-Easy to use, however the whole layout is crammed to one side, using to whole other half for advertising and causing layout problems. easy linking, they give you forum codes. Also DO NOT press back to upload another image, this causes it to freeze. Instead, scroll down to an upload bar at the bottom of the page giving you the link to your previous image/animation.

    Reviews:
    **-Problematic. Requires an account to upload.

    I'll continue adding to this, however, enjoy for now. Please. And feel free to add your own comments, here's the format:
    Code:
    Site:
    Rating (1-5 stars, 1 worst, 5 best)
    Comment: (Personal experience with the site, [I don't want an overall review as it will already have one.)
    Hotlinking: yes/No (Only for still images, animated images, and swfs)
    or suggest new sites:
    Code:
    Category: (Still images, Animated Gifs, FLA/SWF, Sound, or everything.)
    Site URL: (main page please)
    Rating (1-5 stars, 1 worst, 5 best)
    Comment: (does it require an account, is there any file size limits, what features does it have, etc.)
    Hotlinking: yes/No (Only for still images, animated images, and swfs)
    Darky - Revised by Shad and Darky. Deleted duplicate links and reorganized the sections.

    Krust: made topic title a little clearer and for all of those viewing this, it is likely that some of these links will no longer work. Nature of the internet I'm afraid.

    I have that one. Check the bottom. I'm about to bold and underline all the links to make them easier to see.

    Please use the code.

    Comment on a site:
    Code:
    Site:
    Rating (1-5 stars, 1 worst, 5 best)
    Comment: (KISS-Keep it short, stupid)
    Suggest a new site:
    Code:
    Category: (Still images, Animated Gifs, FLA/SWF, Sound, or everything.)
    Site URL: (main page please)
    Rating (1-5 stars, 1 worst, 5 best)
    Comment: (KISS-Keep it short, stupid)
    EDIT:
    I've used imageshack.us since the beginning of time and it's staying that way.

    Trying to find a host sight that didn't require an account in 2004 was very hard, Imageshack was my saviour.
    Is that a comment? if so, PLEASE use the code, its so much easier for me.
