    First Pivot determines your style?

I'm just wondering about this topic. Like if your first animation was a fight are you bound to be good at fights when you get better?

My first animation was about guys on stairs and the stairs falling, with a huge explosion. So far, I'm currently involved with effects the most...

My first pivot involved crappy effects and bad swordsplay. So no, I don't think it determines everybodies style.

Sort of but not really. Usually if I do effects these days they're really simple and boring.

No, your interests determine what you will aim to be good at. If you are interested in fights, you will make more fight animations and strive to always make them look better and more original. Same with effects, or anything else.

My first animation was the default getting the hell beat out of him by an invisible guy..

Mm.. Idk, but my first pivot ever was backflip and run, but I'm not so good at this things, but they are my favourite things to animate. But first pivot, that I can find on my computer is fight.

Re: First Pivot determines your style?

No, a style is not the same as what you animated in your first animation.

My first animation was about a guy who stabbed by a giant horse that shat the sun. It was my first, and the style was SHIT. All the sticks in it moved like molasses, and I don't believe any of my animations have anything to do with that.

First animations cannot determine your style, because in the end, they don't correlate.
