    Constructing a thread

Creating a thread - A guide to a decent thread

OK, so, I don't think this is that obvious, but I think a lot of threads could be better presented, instead of going through how to construct a decent thread, I will tell what NOT to do, I know in the beginners' hall there is something similar, but this is different, in fact see that first.

So, First thing you want is a decent entrance title, like in big letter's -

    [spoiler:dhr5eun4]EXAMPLE'S Animations[/spoiler:dhr5eun4]

It's ok, but it is boring, follow bolt's bbcode tutorial to make it look more interesting, or you can take it a step further, there is a site - Cooltext.com - where you can make and render your own advanced logos and titles, you can use it to make your own Interesting title -

    [spoiler:dhr5eun4][/spoiler:dhr5eun4]

That is the one on my thread, you can make your own, then there is organising it, there are 3 main things I recommend to displaying animations -
-Try and keep your newest at the top of your thread,
-Try to put links instead of images, except for your newest (my recommendation)
-I recommend being organised and ordering animations

I suggest you see these very well presented threads for inspiration -

    UG314's thread
    Cavolia's thread
    Neo's (me) thread
Pinkot's thread This one seems intersting.

Now, there is hosting, I recommend these for hosting your images -

    photobucket.com
    tinypic.com
    imgur.com
    postimage.org
    imageshack.us
    imgbox.com
    truploader.com
There are more, but those are the ones I recommend

For hosting pivs and zips, I recommend -

    droidz.org
    minus.com
    understick.org
    mediafire.com

You can use myfiles if you have it, but if you don't you can buy it.

Now there's credits, you can credit the person of your choice next to the animation/animation link like this - Jacob's thread - or just put it at the end like this - Neo's thread - It doesn't really matter how you do it, but credits are important, as to tell the viewers who gave you a special effect for example.

Which animations to have: Ok, you can keep old animations in your thread or get rid of them, I would remove them, but if you want to keep them, you can, just remember to say that those animations are old or people might rank outdated animations, which you don't want, if you change rank, but your previous animations are still good to show in your thread, I would recommend to say that they are of the previous rank.

This animation is aimed mostly at low-medium beginners

To be honest, this is all about preferences. For example, I'm not a big fan of text that's too big. And I fucking hate images instead of just text.

2 things, that's just you, and a nice thread is more pleaant to see, and your thread is not actually that bad, it's ok in my opinion, but some people might like a fancy well presented one, and this can help them.

edit: exactly lympha, preferances, I really like image titles, I really do. But that's just me.

no, Neo, that's great man, buuuuuuut about the old animations thing at the end, i noticed Atokniiro created an "Archive" section to his thread (i got the idea from him and used it) it shows the old animations whilst signifying that they're old so people don't rank them, i think it's a great idea personally
